Anat (עֲנָת) was the Phoenician and Canaanite goddess of war and fertility — sister-consort of Baal, sometimes paired with the Ugaritic Anat-Yahu. Anat as a personal name appears in the Hebrew Bible (Judges 3:31 — Shamgar son of Anath).
Anat is widely used in modern Israel.
