Indradevi combines the Sanskrit Indra and devi (goddess). **The Khmer queen and chief consort of King Jayavarman VII** — the great builder of the Khmer Empire who built Angkor Thom and the Bayon. **A renowned Sanskrit scholar and Buddhist devotee**, Indradevi taught at the royal court and composed the famous Phimeanakas inscription mourning her sister Jayarajadevi (the king's first wife). **One of the few female-authored inscriptions in the Khmer corpus.**
