Min in Korean and Chinese is written with various hanja/kanji characters. 敏 means "clever" or "agile." 旼 means "gentle" or "affectionate." 玟 means "streaks in jade." 民 means "the people." Each character gives the name a different shade.
Min is most often used in Korea as one syllable of a longer two-syllable name (Minji, Minseo, Minah), but it stands on its own in some Western adoptions. The pop group BTS's RM has popularised Korean names internationally.
Min reduces to five — the number of clever motion.
