Tinhinan (ⵜⵉⵏ ⵀⵉⵏⴰⵏ) was the 4th-century queen of the Tuareg — the matriarch from whom the Tuareg nobility traces descent. Her tomb in the Sahara at Abalessa is one of North Africa's great archaeological finds.
Tinhinan is a feminine icon of Tuareg identity.
Tinhinan reduces to eight — the number of matriarchal authority.
