Zhaojun (昭君) means "shining sovereign." **Wang Zhaojun (c. 50 BCE-)** was **one of the Four Beauties of ancient China** — a Han Dynasty palace lady **sent in 33 BCE as a diplomatic bride to Huhanye Chanyu of the Xiongnu**, sealing 60 years of peace between Han China and the steppes. **Her beauty was so great that geese flying overhead, distracted, forgot to flap and fell from the sky** — earning her the epithet **"the Falling Geese."**
Featured in countless Chinese poems and the opera *Wang Zhaojun*.
Zhaojun reduces to six — the number of Han Falling Geese.
