Dolkar (སྒྲོལ་དཀར) is the Tibetan name of **White Tara** — the female bodhisattva of long life, healing, and serenity, and one of the most beloved deities of Tibetan Buddhism. Her white form represents compassion that liberates from suffering.
Used widely in Tibet and the Himalayas.
Dolkar reduces to seven — the number of Tibetan White Tara.
